What a garbage roster. How does this GM still have a job. |

Don't stress about it. The Flames roster isn't great either. |

At least our roster isn’t as bad as your family lineage. Now that is a dumpster fire. We have hope for this season, you, not so much. |

I don’t think our roster is the sexiest on paper, but you know we will be bringing our lunch pail to work every day. I expect everybody to have a bounce back year. We know the potential is there, everybody is healthy, so let the games begin! |

Man, Logan Brown went cheap... there's gotta be something off with that guy. 1st round pick and has never really had a shot at the NHL, which is amazing considering the state of the Senators over the years. Point per game in the AHL, 6'6" and 220... |

'Guest writer' huh? So even Flames' writers are wearing the paperbag over their heads this year it seems. |

It was a pretty horrid game. You're never going to win a game when you only get 15 shots, and taking penalties isn't going to help either (although 90% of the calls for both sides were phantom, and they missed two obvious ones).
Brett Richie and Lucic were the only two who looked like they gave a crap. The goalies were both fine and with any kind of run support the Flames might have been in the game.
Pitlick was a non factor. Lewis was almost invisible. Dube skated well but didn't create much. He played a better defensive game-- I think he's worried about being benched for being caught up ice, like the last games of last season.
Phillips had one nice give and go on the powerplay but was in too close to the goalie to put it past him. Otherwise he was invisible as well. Pospisil was noticeable on a couple shifts but never threatening.
Physicality will not be an issue with this crew, but scoring certainly will. I think I watched the future core for the Stockton Heat play last night. I actually thought Welinski handled himself well on defense, but he won't challenge for Valamaki's spot because Val was decent enough himself.
Anderson led ice-time and shifts. He was OK, but the pairing with Zadorov was a bust. |

This is a pretty good evaluation. I have a post-game/pre-game post coming down the pipe shortly. Pitlick got injured in the first, so that explains his non-factor performance. |

It's going to be funny when Treviling is fired and the new GM comes in and asks why is this dinosaur Coaching? Will be a total purge. Should be. But probably won't. Haha. |

Kinda like hiring a 65 year old GM? A roster with arguably the two best players on the planet and you can't win a playoff round. Astute observation chum. |
